Sea Shells?

I heard that you can use sea shells in divination; is this true? I know you can scatter the shells and use them that was, but I also heard that if you bring it to your ear and listen to them, you can get something out of it. Sorry if this sounds stupid, but this is what I heard.

Anything can be used in divination, really; especially the methods you mentioned. What you need to pay attention to is your intuition and everything else is preferred method.
