Go to the profile of the person to whom you wish to send the e-mail. Just above their picture in the profile is a tab marked "Mail". Click on that and it will give you the place where you can write and send your message.

As I said, go to their profile and click on the "Mail" tab. It will give you a screen where you can send them an e-mail whether they e-mailed you first or not.

Or is it that you don't know how to find their profile? If that is the case simply click on their name either in chat or in a forum and it will take you directly to their Profile.

Click the mail tab above their profile picture, not the upper right one.
