Divination is a practice that is included in the path of many of us, so I'd be very interested to see what divination methods each of you practice or whether you practice it at all.
Do you have a preferred branch of Divination?
Which methods have you tried throughout your path and what can you say about them?
Does your path enterwine with a specific divination system?
I have practiced tarot, runes and pendulum divination but the one I always come back to is runes, they resonate with me more than anything else.
I have to say that pendulums are very difficult, not in principle, but you never know when you are subconsciously moving it, so I find them very unreliable.
Tarot cards are generally very draining for me, personally; I use them and have a few decks but I will always reach for my runes first.
I don't have any form of spiritual following so I just use whatever I personally prefer.
I do not typically tend to do a whole lot with divination in general. I practice seidhr for my own personal purposes. Seidhr can be used for oracular means, as a way of scrying in some instances and to divine answers. While I have used it before for that purpose, I tend to not. I don't see the need to go about asking for answers in a fancy ritual or anything of the sort when I feel I can reach out or project and communicate directly in the same manner and get the same results. I also feel that a lot of the spirits and entities I work with do not appreciate spoon-feeding, and therefore most of my questions are wasted and returned back with sarcasm or a "find the answer yourself" attitude.
I have used elemental divinatory methods before and found them to be effective, however, for divining events or things which were important to me. I typically either did water gazing or fire scrying, both of which were elements I felt very drawn to (and the entities I was working with at the time had a connection to them). Both of these methods worked very well for me, though the visualizations were not always the most clear cut. I also had issues keeping from slipping into trance at times.
I usually use playing cards for divination. I've found them to be more forward and straight to the point than most other methods I've tried.
I've used shells, coins, and runes, which worked fine, but they just weren't as right, didn't really suit me as well. I've also tried scrying, but I just don't have the patience.
I use a clear quartz pendulum, but I don't use it a lot. I have dreams of the future though. It's mostly about stupid/random stuff, but sometimes I'll dream something important like test grades.

I do a lot of work with ceromancy (reading the shape of wax drippings). I find it both a useful divination tool and very relaxing as well.
I've also worked with tarot and pendulums, but ceromancy is my preferred method.
I've never heard of ceromancy, Loni, but it sounds really interesting. If you ever find the time, would you mind posting about it?

Sure. I can type up a post on it! I've found a few sites that have examples of the imagery and meanings too, so I can post a few links and videos to go with the article as well.
