Re: Deities - World Wide By: Personified / Knowledgeable
Post # 2 Jan 25, 2016
This is a good start, but I'd say there's likely pages and pages of Gods and Goddess that could be written down. Within the Norse pantheon alone you're missing several of the main deities (not to mention lesser ones). There's just such a vast number out there due to the many, many different practices, religions, etc.
Thanks. After doing a little bit more research I realized your right. I will do more in depth research and maybe all of us could contribute to this list for SoM because I see a lot of new members asking questions about Deities.
It would be a nice way to promote this coven that little bit more.

Finnish deities, heroes, and nature spirits overlap a lot, so the line between god, hero, and haltija is pretty blurry, which should be noted. This list is far from complete, by the way. I might be spamming this thread with more names. Some names and words will also be misspelled because of the site's lack of special characters - they'll have a * next to them.

I've covered most of the big ones here, plus some. I'd like to do some writing on some of these, and it would help me a great deal if you could pick out which ones sound more interesting.
