Private messages

Hi guys,

Sorry I ask all these questions.

Are we allowed to offer to help via private messages?

An individual was asking for help and I told them that they could PM myself. This post of mine was then removed.

I can't find anywhere on the site that says we can not tell someone to PM us.

Could someone please help inform myself.

There is no rule that says you cannot offer to help through private messages or through e-mail.
