Cut subject on thread

I made a threat a couple of days ago I think... While I was writting the subject before I post it, it appeared fully and it evens appear fully at my history. However I went to see it through the forum and it has cut two letters..why did this happen?

A subject can only be a certain number of characters long, once you go past it this number, they will be cut from view on the website.

I know, that's what I don't understand. Before I post the thread I wrote the subject and in the exact way I wrote it, it wasn't cut. It was posted as I wrote it too. But a few days later I see it and it's cut, even if it wasn't at all.
