Praying to Artimes.

Hello everyone,

I would just like to ask if I could still pray to Artemis and honour her, even though I am a man. I wish to ask her to help me on my journey of abstinence.

Aloha! Dieties are not close-minded, in fact do not get surprised if I tell you many of them may not believe in the terms "man" and "woman". I at least don't... It doesn't mean something if you are a man, you can still honour her; she has absolutely no problem. A hermaphrodite could also honour her or any other Deity; trust me, Deities do not think and judge in the ways humans do...

I am a devotee of Goddess Kali. In mythology it is mentioned she killed Raktabija, a male Demon but this doesn't mean males do not have the right to revere her, because it is mentioned she killed a male Demon or because she is a female.

If you feel a connection with Artemis she may be your matron Deity. My advise is if you feel like honouring her just go for it. Trust me, you have nothing to lose.

Your gender is irrelevant. Of course you can honor her. Read about her and get to know her.

It will be a good idea if you call her by her actual name, while praying.

Give it a try and see how it goes.

Anyone can pray to Artemis. Your gender doesn't matter.
