Tools for Baby Witches

Hi everyone. I am a baby green Christian witch. As I am quite new to this topic, I wanted to get some help. As for my setup, I am practicing in secret in a little dry river on our large farm. That means I cant set up a permanent altar. Please add any thoughts on this. Blessed be!

There are ways to set up a temporary altar. Find a shoebox or Amazon box and load it with things you might want for your altar. This can include a crucifix, a Bible or New Testament and Psalms, a Chalice, a Pentacle, an Athame, and a Wand. You mentioned being a green witch, so you can use a trowel as your athame. Your chalice can be a fancy mug or cup, and your wand a really special stick you find in the woods. For a baby witch, use whatever you feel can be your magical tool. I'm personally a hearth witch, so I use brooms, cleaning supplies, spoons, and cooking for my tools. As a green witch, see how you can use your gardening tools for magical purposes.

Once you've loaded your box, find a nice place mat or fabric napkin to use as an altar cloth and stick that in there too. This way, when you go to your sacred space, you can set up and unload, using your box as an altar table. Then, when you need to break down, you have a handy box to store everything back in until the next time you need it.

It's amazing that you have such a natural area to practice and you can definitely use it to your advantage. "Cleave the wood: I am there; lift the stone and thou shalt find me there!" from the Gospel of Thomas phrases that beautifully. Nature is a beautiful focal point of faith, because you're able to see everything the Divine created and how amazing it is.

A big tip I can give is you should never feel obligated to have your altar a certain way because everyone else does it that way. It is your altar, and therefore personalized to you.
