My hope is to start a discussion in under to batter under stand the bible. These are my note/thoughts on Genesis 3.
The story of the snake and the fruit represents the awakening of the human conscience .Though humans probably started wearing pelt and clothing for warth soon become a form of modesty. at least in ancient hebrew people but evidence of humans wearing clothes can be found as always as 170,000 years ago.

The earliest hebrew text date is only about 3200 years Ago . https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/biblical-artifacts/inscriptions/the-oldest-hebrew-script-and-language/
Judaism has been around for about 4,000 years that's about a 800 year . Later in Genesis looking at abraham their oral memory of tribal history of the ancestors of the Jews the founder of the tribe. It is important to say the jewish people in reality are more of a nation than a true religion.
the snake most likey represents fear of death. But more likely the fear of the unknown. Leaving the garden of eden. And slaving away in the field to to make crops. Is probably the transition from hunter and gather to agriculture the. Next step in human civilization.. The birth will be painful is properly just a reason to explain why birth for humans is painful when it looks so easy For animals. And To blame woman for transition. Though it was a group or would not have stuck.

I want to bump this up. I would love to start having more discussion on the scriptures, and incorporating maybe a weekly Bible study topic or verse study. Thank you for this interesting topic. I hope everyone can comment, and express their view points.

Blessed Be
