I have a life defining exam 36 hours from now. The exam has a significant luck factor which has been troubling me. Also, the exam needs me to be in the perfect mental state to perform (it's 142 questions in 180 minutes, so you need to be able to think fast). I have been thinking about implementing spells that could help me on the day. Does anyone know of something that I could do?

Well, you could cast a success spell to bring you victory in getting a passing grade, you could use rosemary since it increases your ability to recall important information, bring a clear quartz with you since it's a stone of knowledge. Make a Hoodoo petition to bring in good luck, do note however that good luck spells work sort of like a loan. You get the good luck you would have had in the future all at once to aid you in what ever the spell is being cast for, I've found casting a protection spell to protect against bad luck seems to block all of that "luck loan" from needing to be "paid" by instead of you experiencing "bad" luck it just doesn't happen. Another idea you could use might be enchanting your pen/pencil with a spell to manifest success in school if it's a scantron exam. These are just some quick ideas off the top of my head for rather simple spells you could do. Or are you looking for instructions of spells that you want us to write for you and post?
Seeing as it's about academic performance you could use sigils to help manifest results. Sigils are very simple as you only need a writing utensil and something to write on. My personal method of making sigils is to write a sentence in the present tense about what I want "I am amazing at the exam," I then remove all the vowels "m mzng t th xm," and finally remove all double letters "m zng t h x." I then use these letters to make a symbol, just whatever I end up with is ok. The letters can overlap if you want them to. After the sigil is done I charge it with my preferred method and then just let it do its work.
For good luck, you could also use sigils, candles, cords, etc. I'm gonna focus on cord workings. You could get a piece of string and tie a somewhat humanoid-looking loop to resemble you. Then under that loop, you can tie knots with the intent of them tying good luck into your being to help you on the exam. If you're interested in herbs and crystals you could also tie some of them that symbolise good luck onto the string. (There are many articles and forums about crystals/herbs and their correspondences on this site, just use the search bar at the top right)
And finally, for mental stabilization, you could meditate before the exam to calm yourself and start in the right state of mind. Maybe also keep a crystal or herb bag full of crystals/herbs that relax you. If you have something that comforts you such as a small plushie you could also bring that, there's no harm in it.
Studying also really helps boost confidence as if you study you know the answers better. If you're confident you will be able to do much better.
