There are many different spirits you could work with. You may just try and work with the spirits around you, your ancestors, deities, etc. They won't exactly give you power, but you could learn something from working with them. And as the old adage goes, knowledge is power.
elemental wolf but then creating a spirtual space or world for them to thrive though that spirit can help you make one. I wish i knew if multiple spirit guides can exist in the same world you create? Although calling a spirit of someone in a grave might also be a good spirit guide?
I would advise against seeking out spirits for power. It will draw the wrong type of beings, ones that are likely tricksters that will give you a taste of power just to lure you into giving them more strength. It's a common situation.
You are better off seeking knowledge from spirits and building long term relationships that involve an equal give and take. In tune this will be far more valuable, safer, and form a strong foundation of spiritual strength that you can count on.
''Earth, bone,
And winding sheet,
Let this spirit
Come to me-
Yet send it
In peace,
Or not at all.'' or the other one
West Chant: Obey these words of Power!
East Chant: Watchers of the Threshold, Watchers at the Gate!
North Chant: Unbar the Guarded Door!
South Chant: Obey this command of this Servant of Power!
''Earth, bone,
And winding sheet,
Let this spirit
Come to me-"
What spirit?
"Yet send it
In peace,
Or not at all.''
Who are you talking to in this spell? Who is going to send the spirit, ensure that it's peaceful or decide is not a good idea? This is poorly written nonsense authored by a fool that doesn't take control and responsibility for their own magick. You need to be in control. You need to be the authority when evoking.
"West Chant: Obey these words of Power!
East Chant: Watchers of the Threshold, Watchers at the Gate!
North Chant: Unbar the Guarded Door!
South Chant: Obey this command of this Servant of Power!"
Now here you are commanding and showing authority but it's too vague. What are you trying to accomplish? And why refer to your self as a servant? Who is your master? This isn't talking about summoning a spirit. This is calling the quarters and casting a circle in a fancy worded way.
I don't know about anyone else and don't proclaim to talk foe everyone, but I have found that spirits which are to be useful and beneficial normally appear or introduce/call to me of their own accord. I very rarely need to go seeking and chasing after one in particular, it just so happens that by engaging in magical work they tend to come about.
Try the fetch-beast. A fetch is The Familiar Spirit that is the witch, the subconscious soul. Given that this being is apart of you, you're less likely to have poor results that go haywire, as opposed to a non-local spirit (something external of yourself)
The fetch-beast typically is primitive, animalistic, innocent as a child, and based on emotion, instinct, and communicates through feelings and symbolism. By communicating with it, your intuition and understanding of symbolism will increase.
The holy guardian angel is a similar concept found in ceremonial magick, which is much more documented.
That said, if you're still fresh, don't go wading into a fray for power. Power in inherant, and looking for power elsewhere because you are too lazy or want faster results, will inevitably cause you problems. There is always a price from accepting gifts from spirits, especially power.
