any neopagan or pagan religion can and most of the time does involve the craft. there are several specific religions branching from pagan and neopagan. i only know one, which is wicca. to clarify wicca and witchcraft are not the same. wicca follows laws and is a religion while witchcraft is not a religion and anything goes as long as your willing to suffer the consequences. but overall almost every religion i can think of practices a form of magick wether they're aware of it or not. for instance when a christian prays if he/she puts meaning into the prayer and an intent than it has a chance of coming true. which can be categorized as witchcraft if you take a step back to look at it.
I was born & raised a Catholic by both my father & mother who was raised in a convent by my aunt who is a nun.
All the masses at the convent were done in Latin & the prayers & songs from the nuns were very similar to the ones us Wiccans use to call/invoke the Goddess.
PrinceZuko5 you say that all religions practice magic in some way exept Christianity.
If you look in the Bible there is a man (I forget his name) that was possesed by many demons, a group of people went & told Jesus Christ about this man, Jesus Christ went to see the possesed man & performed an exorcism on him passing all the demons from the man to a bunch of pigs making them throw themselves off a ledge & kill themselves.
So you see PrinceZuko5 I believe Christianity uses magic A LOT they just don't call it magic but Christians have a lot of very interesting rituals that are very sililar to practicing magic.
I believe magic is everywhere. Our entire "world" is magical you jusr have to look!
I personally love the Wiccan/Pagan rituals, specially because nature is incorporated in every ritual!
Much respect to every one & I repect every ones religion preference.
i am a catholic and we use magic. i remember going to a famous catholic church back in El Salvador and people were using candles in the dark. we also use holy water and incense. All these rituals could be magic though most catholics believe magic is from satan.
first off yes, catholicism does incorporate some old Jewish magical practices, though most of the church seems to have forgotten as much, and praying in church is not the same as casting a spell
casting a spell is using you energies and will power to reshape the world as you see fit, praying is asking your deity of choice (the Holy Trinity if the catholics case) to do said changing for you
