Spells Should Be Reviewed

I tried to post to that thread but it just made a new thread under comments

The job of altering, tweaking and correcting things on the site falls to the mods and editors. Unfortunately, we cannot currently edit the spells specifically. If you wish to help, go through and rate the spells you find to be fluff down.

The tweaks would be a suggestion under the actual spells. Is being able to say exactly how well a spell worked for you really that bad. Ratings can be inflated by people who think its amusing but comments take more effort so trolls and fluffers might avoid it

Also I haven't and don't see a reason to try every spell that would be foolish. What if some of the simpler, rhyming spells really work? You'd be forced to make assumptions. Some of the spells are complicated and expensive and may not have worked for anyone, but they sound really mystical. Those spells would just be given five stars because many wouldn't be able to try them. Of course I may be wrong, but can anyone tell me why a review system is a clearly bad idea?

I agree and I think more people should see this and make this viewd because its annoying to see some bull spells that dnt work

Agreed and the most frustrating thing is most site that have user content do this, I don't understand why this site should be the exception

I totally agree!!!! That idea has popped in my mind soo many times!

I also agree that a comment system would definitely improve upon the basic star-rating system.

Right now any idiot can give a mermaid spell a 5-star rating and it is in no way differentiated from a smart person's 1-star rating.

However, if there were comments, it would be a lot easier to sift through the BS. We could ignore the 5-star ratings from comments of "OMFG dis ttly werks!" and pay attention to the ratings from people who obviously gave some actual, logical thought to the spell in question.

It's how I check Amazon book ratings - see which ratings appear to be written by morons, ignore them, and then calculate the average rating accordingly.

I read quite a few spells on this site before I joined. It went through my mind also. I wanted to see comments, I wanted to see if they worked for people or if they were a waste of time. There is a spell I want to try but I don't want to put my body through it if it's total BS.

How do we contact the people who actually run and update this site?
