yes, there are psi-vampires and people with animal spirits, but that's not what people on average claim to be. they see a show, Buffy, The Little Mermaid, Teen Wolf, Charmed, whatever else, and think 'they're so cool and special, i want to be cool and special.' then the person finds out about wicca, and witchcraft and think 'I've seen Harry Potter, I know what magic can do.' then they cast a spell and convince themselves it worked. either that, or it didn't and believe it's a flaw; they cast wrong, or didn't charge enough energy, not that it cannot be done. whatever the reason though, they begin to claim they are, or they want to be, and when people come along and say it's fiction [nicely or bluntly] the only thing the person has is denial. do you remember when, or still have, a strong belief in something so close to your heart, and if someone came by who claims it can't be done [since i don't think we can really prove it, unless people have scientifically disproven transformation through wishing] what do you do? accept it after wanting to be whatever your whole life, or go on the offensive. most, but not all, will go around saying they are what they are because they want to feel they're something other than a simple mortal human, who has to go to school, then work, then die. maybe it's youthful arrogance which seems much more common in the 'me generation' but i think it's just a fear of acceptance. we are who we are, perhaps the thought of working a desk job for 30-40 years then growing old and dying scares people so they live in fantasy because they fear reality.

In my opinion throughout life children including myself as a teenager most students feel the need to be different where difference is accepted as since difference is valued more than their own individuality it creates a sense of blandness looking at theirself or maybe a traumatic emotional experience happened an since there aren't many people out for then they believe they have to change themselves to be different or they just want attention

It's only an opinion but it's my best guess

@mystical_cat

The school I'm at they want you to be part of the crowd, I should know because I'm jumped for standing out, they don't like people who stand out. They want everyone too be after who they say is the weak one, no I don't tolerate it you need to be your self not something people want you to be. Fluffs have the the problem of not wanting to be then selves.

I personally get plenty of people wanting to becombe and/or be possessed by a demon. I thought this was more wide spread. I believe that also some fluffs are scared that people on this site have more power than them and might hurt them and so pretend to be something more powerfull than they are. By doing this they think people will not attack them (which i really dont think anyone would anyway) but it ensures their safty on the internet which can be scarey if they think they are dealing with magic that they don't understand.

No, neither vampires, werewolves, nor mermaids exist in the physical world.

Although there are a lot of people who like to delude themselves into believing they are, or in trying to convince others that they are because they believe it somehow makes them special.

They are mostly kids with imagination. What is wrong with it?

Some on here will say they are just trying to point them in the right direction when they defend themselves for berating. Have such ever had kids, or forgotten when they were?

You'll never stop it, thankfully.

Let them have their imaginations and just remember who you are responding to when you leave your reply. Would you really say that person to person?

The only solution for such a forum would be to raise the age limit entrance. Then there wouldn't be a forum because the majority seem to be kids.

I think it's how the fluffs escape reality..

When I was a kid and was bullied I said to myself "I'll find the seven dragon balls and practice my kamekame ha.."

And then.. poof. Nothing but cheese.

Who are we to judge? Everyone needs love...

But they need to keep the fluffiness on other sites... Since I've been infected when I was a newbie!!! I thought... I thought I could have wings...

People will believe anything. Either because they want it to be true or because they are afraid that it might be.

Wizards First Rule.

Maybe people are dissatisfied with who or what they are and they use this as an oppertunity to get away from the dismial life that they live. Maybe people are abused in some way or another and they use this to give themselves strength and self power to deal with their abuse. Maybe people are bullied and they want to see themselves as worth something and better then their tormentors. It is the same thing with most bullies. They make fun of people for what they believe or think to fill a deficiency in their own lives. To make themselves feel better.

Or perhaps it is a spiritual journey of their own meant for them and them alone. That is what religion is all about is it not? Your own personal journey. I find it odd that people on here would rise up at the drop of a hat if someone came on here and said that satinism was stupidity, or that Wicca was just a reason to get drunk and run around naked, yet when someone says that they can turn into a vampire or whatever we turn right around then make posts about how stupid of an idea that is and that they are wrong and that they are not thinking with a logical mind. If someone wants to believe such things who am I to tell them that they are wrong? Or you for that matter?

And for those who think that this is caused by RPG's I can safely say that I have been an avid gamer for well over eight years now and I have never once gotten the opinion that I am anything more then what I am and that I will ever be as such. So no I don't think RPG's have anything to do with it at all.
