Well, if you're serious about learning how to do magic and with starting from the rock-bottom then you don't start out by casting spells, you start out by learning how and why magic works.
You see, there is no such thing as an "easy" spell or a "beginner" spell. One either understands how magic works and has mastered the basics...in which case the magic will work..or you haven't done that sort of work..and no spell will work no matter how "easy" it seems.
Casting a successful spell involves much more than finding some spell on the internet or in a book, saying some words, lighting a candle, waving a wand of any of that sort of thing. In order for magic to work you need to understand how and why it works in the first place. Grounding and centering, visualization, focus and intent, energy manipulation, etc are all necessary first steps to even begin to have a chance at a spell actually working...and more importantly to prevent a spell from back-firing on you.
So, my advice for anyone who is truly serious is to start by reading a few books and practicing the exercises those books will give you. Once you have mastered the basics you won't need anyone to give you spells, you'll be able to create your own spells that will be far more effective than anything you find on the net. Here's the books I suggest:
"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman
"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar
"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson
"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig
It may be important to point out here that Wicca is a religion with specific beliefs and practices, not just spellcasting and magic. There are plenty of other magical practices that don't require religious beliefs. If you're not actually interested in the religion of Wicca you might want to look at other magical systems.
Hi Rosa, I cast a spell on the last full moon and am seeing results already. First i cleansed the furniture on which i put my altar with sage smoke. Then i wiped everything with florida water. Before gathering materials, I read up on attributes of candle colors and herbs. Then I used coinciding oils to anoint the candles inside and out (the tall candles in glass). As the full moon rose, I set the candles outside with my pentagram necklace around them and burned four incense sticks, four being my favorite number. While they burned, I also sat under the rising moon and carefully wrote my petition (wording is key). If your spell is to bring something into your life, write the petition, then draw an arrow pointing down and write your name three times. From the top, fold the paper in half, folding towards you. When the incense had burned out, I brought the candles to my altar, prayed to the God of the universe. Inside a protective border of hyssop, I burned frankincense and myrrh in a small pot atop five stones anointed with frankincense oil. While that burned, I put the elements inside the border: glass of water, incense on a censer (air), the stone pentagram is stationary (earth), and I placed a piece of paper with my petition under the candle dressed with herbs and oil and lit it (fire). While the candles burned, I found things to occupy my mind so I wouldn't think about the working. I hope this was helpful. OH, and I anointed my third eye, neck right between the collar bone and behind my ears with King Solomon oil, before I did ANYTHING.
Ah, a beginner's spell, like getting your first wand,
how many adventures you will have. You'll learn
more about magic just by simply doing it rather
than reading about it.Just imagine your goal and let
it build up energy and let it out the palm of your
hand and into a candle or the wind or some
convient direction.Magic is simple for those who
believe, even a child can transform an object.
ytx, one cannot transform with magick. It doesn't work that way.
Spells need intent, a reason to do them. Doing a spell just to do one doesn't seem like an intent. Needing luck does. Needing help, or to help another does. Spells tend to fill a need, not greed. See the difference? Learning more about magick might help you more. Have you learned about basics? They can be found in forums/ General Info. Basics Expanded and Starting Out are good. But remember, spells are done for a reason/intent, not just to do one. Good luck and blessed be...
Here is a really simple one for you Rosa. It is a simple spell for reciprocity.
Look for a coin on the ground somewhere. A shopping mall parking lot is a good place. Once you find one, put it in a jar for charity at your local convienance store. Say these words to yourself:
I give this abandoned coin, its only one of many. For my efforts, let me find plenty. For every coin on the street I pluck, let my efforts increase my luck.
