It's problematic to say that people are biological swine based on their biological sex. It's also problematic to think that putting a photo of our faces up instigates vulgar replies because then the blame is on the person being harassed and not the harasser.
Also, when coven leaders are asking for a profile image, most don't mean actual photos of peoples' faces because we as a community realize that some people are not comfortable with that for their own valid reasons. What people typically are asking for is having pretty much any image on an applicants profile because that, in combination with an applicants biography, gives covens a clue as to who a person is, how they conduct themselves, what they dis/like, and overall, if they would be a good fit with the other members. It also shows effort on the applicants' parts to actually be a part of the community.
Honestly the best thing to do towards having the community you want is to starve what you don't want (by blocking or simply ignoring problematic members) and contributing what you do want (by interacting with people on a more occult/magical/spiritual level). If we all do this, it is likely we will move towards the kind of community a lot of members want; even if we want different things, at least the problematic behavior would subside some.
