I think that it is just strong emotion that drives it, like with other abilties. My cousin can make the wind blow when she's mad, but I do better when I'm happy.
Like when I am outside and am in a great mood, I can make the win blow faster.
Though being calm can work, when I was little I would just walk outside and make the wind change or blow harder, I don't know how I did it. I just kind of let my body do the work while I watched it happen, and I didn't control when I could do it, randomley I felt it and then went along with that feeling.
So it can work with any emotion, just stick with. I am also trying to learn how to use aerokinesis. I have a link to a site somewhere and it has steps to help you learn it, I will find it and post it here.
The one that I remember was that before you try to control the wind, observe it. Sit outside in a quiet spot (alone) and meditate, and also just go outside and relax(quiet and alone). The girl who wrote it said to learn how the wind feels, smells, sounds, and so on. You have to get to know the feel of it before you manipulate it, it will help you. Also when you practice inside, find a quiet room an dopen a window sightly if it helps you make wind inside, then once you get more comfortable you can close it. That is all I remember from it, but I will try and find the site.
aerokinesis just need focuss focuss focuss,, I can do it easily indoors, blowing a peace of paper, nah, vary easy! I do not agree too about the thought of having aerokinesis if you are so mad.. It is not recuire you to be emotionally mad..
Practice slow and fast danciing and thionk of the wind as a string instrument as you dance. These re ways I highten my ability of air. And congratz air and water are mine as well as shadow
Weather spells (in my experience) have been very helpful in my use of Aerokinesis. Most weather spells require help from the wind. Therefore an indirect use of Aerokinesis. This with practice will help you learn Aerokinesis a little more easier.
Aerokinesis is a fickle thing. Sometimes you can stare at a light object for half an hour to no avail. Other times you focus on a leaf and it vigorously vibrates. Negative emotions do seem to have an effect. A few times when I was mad clips would fly from their bags or others fall from shelves. Once when I was looking for something in the freezer I was about to give up when it fell out onto the floor. Keep practicing and see what it can do.

Aerokinesis is not real. Wind blows, wind speeds vary. People who insist that they are controlling it rely mostly on confirmation bias rather than fact.
In truth, any kinesis-type 'ability' completely defies all laws of physics, and is completely impossible.
