Kali is my favorite Hindu goddess and she even visited me in a dream once. You can certainly ask her to do that. By the way, it is believed in Christianity that there are people on earth who are also angels, so you could ask God to send you one of them. You may have already met one, and entertained angels unaware.

I am late to the party. When you say a prophet to God, it is possible for those divine spirits to exist in Heaven or within the Divine Mind (depending on your personal theology). All the saints are up there ready to work with you. Like everyone's said, definitely do your homework and just talk to them like you'd talk to anyone else, through prayer. They can give you more clues until you finally figure out who it is. When you establish a relationship with that entity, they'll pop into your life more often because they have that relationship with you.
