sorry only answered half your question. an aura is an electromagmetic radiation and everything has one. people and animals auras can change but objects dont. an aura can tell you alot about a person. a light, clean aura shows good intent, and usually means the person is good, and vise versa with a dark murky one. different colours refer to different physical and emotional states. theres alot of good info on the web for you to research. let me know if youve any questions. i'll help if i can.

BROWN:indicates the end of a period of problems,indicates methodical and organized people,a slowing of destiny,a hard working person,indicates a common sense.etc
GREEN:spiritual advancement,liars and cheats,healers,sociable people,laying of rest of a problem,mental stress.etc
PINK:true love,indicates faithfulness,people who have found their true vocation and love it.
Merlin and Ellyn have posted great information, and I have no more to add to what they've already said. I would, however, like to note one criticism: auras are most likely not electromagnetic.
The electric field created by the human body is very weak, weaker than the electromagnetic fields around power outlets, televisions, or cell phones; these objects should have auras too, if electromagnetism is the cause. Moreover, instruments such as PET scanners can detect electromagnetic fields many thousands of times weaker than human tissue can detect, but they see no auras around humans.
Another problem is color; differences in the color of electromagnetic energy are caused by differences in the wavelength. Having a blue aura would thus only mean that one produces a high-frequency/short-wavelength electric field - not anything about personality or the like.
For these reasons, I believe auras are not electromagnetic in nature.
an aura is your spiritual field. you can see them through your third eye. practice can help you see them. about the camera question, no you cant see them on a regular camera. you need a camera specifically designed to capture auras
I have noticed many years back that if I lay down outside and stare directly up in the sky I can see bright little dots that look more like stars and these stars are being connected to each other by thin and electric looking lines. Also I see waves that lookalike like sonar etc. And these waves seem to pass through the stars but weather it causes the stars fluctuations or not I don't know. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm seeing.
