The first layer of an aura usually has no color. So you could be seeing the very first layer of an aura. You could just be seeing energy as well.

I didn't know that. I don't know much about aura to be honest, is there a difference between colored the layers of aura?

Usually the very first layer is just what you see before seeing the colors. If you kee [ practicing, you may start to see the colors of the aura. There is an Astral body, and an etheric body. So basically two layers, but people see aura very differently varying from person to person. So not everyone will see the same things when it comes down to seeing energy/auras.

if you've had a medical check up and there is nothing wrong then congratulations because you are seeing spirits. I too see these lights all different colours, you sound like you are more advanced than me, since you see them around people too. Maybe joining a psychic developement circle would help you develop your gift.

I have seen the same thing before. I do not see it all of the time only sometimes. I always attributed it to light reflecting off of dust or water particles floating in the air. I do not know if it is actually aura related but it would not hurt to look into it.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I think I might just be seeing energy like Hexen was saying. Because whatever I'm seeing forms around inanimate objects too (can aura gather around inanimate objects?)

It could be your third eye chakra is open, possiblely over active, which can cause hallucinations.

Or like others have said you're seeing auras or energy itself.
