That's ridiculous that you think it would only apply to wiccans and pagans.. at least thats what I got. Anyone can do spells, there are no certain 'rules' for making magick work that are specific to any religion.
There are wiccans and pagans that break the rules that have spells work. There are atheists that do spells as well, not believing in the religion or the gods but they work through power of intent. There are tons of cases that defy those wiccan and pagan laws, and half of them are wiccans and pagans just not following the rules.
Do I believe in a god and goddess? Yes. I believe in some other gods too. However I have done magick for personal reasons (money etc) and NOT asked them for help. I have done spells relying only on myself- and I have ALSO done spells asking them for help. They both worked just as intensely.
Well the type of magick that uses the assistance of gods, goddesses, demons, spirits, etc, is Enochian. Remember, there are MANY different types of magick.
Enochian is binding a spirit to do your bidding, that is why so many symbols and shapes are involved. Therefore, it is a guaranteed success, as long as you obey the rules.
Death Goddess, I was just aiming the main religions where most of the kids are joining JUST for the magic, which is completely wrong, have you studied the witch's pyramid? If you have then you would understand me.
If a person 'joined' just for the magick then they aren't really part of the religion. To really be wiccan or some paganistic religions, you have to at the least go through a self dedication ritual. You have to let your gods accept you. You don't just 'join'.
Anyone who's doing it that way is probably too incompetent to be a real threat anyways.
And yeah Jayme I know there are diff. kinds of magick and some draw on the power of gods/goddesses and some don't, I do sometimes and dont sometimes so it'd be hard for me not to know the difference, lol.
I've studied the witches pyramid, and I still really dont understand how gods tie into it at all. The rest of your post is ok. It's just that sometimes you do your own magick without their help.
Aside from that... you really can't call anyone 'kids' since most of those 'kids' are around the age that frequents this site, including yourself. So we're most all 'kids' or at least teens... I am as well and I recognize I have no right to call others kids (unless they're under 10 years old )
Fine then, I shall not classify them as "Kids", but there are 10 and 12 year olds who go around making threads thinking there harry potter, just take that person for example he claimed he froze his whole classroom with his wand.
It's the truth, everyone has said it, and everyone knows it. Those kind of people are entering this site and labeling themselfves as Pagan or Wiccan so they can use Magic. And when they tire at it, because they fail to cast spells when asking assistence, they begin to make up stories of themselves and act like harry potter for the attention because when they asked for help, only the new people where there.
That is why I made this thread. So people can understand that religions such as Paganism and Wicca should not be used just for the magic, nothing ever comes free, you have to give to receive.
Eh, have it your way I guess. I've seen people asking dumb questions and wanting instant gratification, but not really thinking they're harry potter and the few people I did see didnt really stick around. Anyways if ANY 10 or 12 year old is on ANY internet forum their parents need to watch them better because most sites have a 13+ requirement for a reason, 10-12y/o etc usually just don't have the proper judgement to be on the internet I've never met one that has.
As well, unless they grew up practicing it anyone just getting into wicca/paganism around that age is 80% likely doing it for rebellion. They'll be a member for a few weeks-months and then leave and never be heard from again. So yeah... Not really much to worry about there. Experimenting, f*cking up, and making mistakes and errors in judgement is part of growing up. Nobody telling a little kid anything if they've got it stuck in their head is gonna change whatever's stuck in there, they have to fail at it themselves or see it's not what they thought.
