astroid close to earth

i was reading the news today and they said their was an astroid close to earth but will miss by 454,000Km what would this mean?

If we make the wrong one...The astroid will hit, and the war will begin...

This asteroid is further away from earth than the moon but not by much when you look at how big space is. The earth has an impact every so often and I believe we are due for a large one. This means that we could be hit by this asteroid if something changes it's corse and it starts to come closer to earth. Let's hope it doesn't but if it does then it is the gods' will.

Why would it hit though.I take this astroid as a sign to something

the astroid will not hit earth like she said. but if it did it may not do much damage.
