Due to recent information I have found out that I can no longer call myself a Wiccan as it would be wrong without first being initiated into a Gardenian coven. The last thing I want to do is to offend any true Wiccans out there so now I am searching for somewhere to "belong".
So what am I??? I know there are lots of paths within the pagan world. Here is what I do and believe in.
The Wiccan Rede which states that you must not harm another person.
I worship the God and Goddess of all.
I follow the Wheel of the Year and the eight Sabbats and the 13 esbats and do rituals when they come around.
I practice magick and so spells and rituals for them.
So can anyone help me find a place to call home???
You are a beautiful, kind, thoughtful woman who has warmed many hearts.
When I was younger I went to a retreat with this church group I belonged to. One of the activites we did was to write down our lables and stick it on ourselves. Sister, Daughter, Witch, Girl, Nerd....any label we ever held. There were 2 lines of people and you walked down the line with your eyes closed and they took the lables off. When you got to the end, there you were....a clean slate...nothing to call yourself, but not held down by the restrictions of those words ( no matter how good or bad they were ).
I can understand how the title of Wiccan means so much to you. Your faith in your spirituality shows...but I hope you can see, that even if you cannot call yourself that....you are still a wonderful person with a kind loving heart.
Call yourself whatever you want hun, it doesn't change who you are in the least.
Rowan..its been said.."Whats in a name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"..You are one of the most Kind Hearted ,,most gentle spirits,Ive ever come across,I dont think any name you could wear would do you justice,..Im not a wiccan, but if calling myself a wiccan could help me have the qualities you have.I would in a heart beat.On the other hand,,not calling yourself a wiccan,in no way takes away from the incredible person you are. What ever you call yourself,,where ever you call home,,Youll always have my respect for the example youve set..Peace
Rowan, you are an ecclectic lady of the craft, you also use some chaos concepts in the form of taking things that work and putting them together. What is in a title, in a name, if i've learnt anything in the past month or two it is that if you do not lable yourself as something you do not have to fit into anyones little boxes, but once you lable yourself everyone else lables you too and thus you force yourself to bend to the will of others mind, and that is never in a position that you want to be.
So what are you, to me you are the nice ol Sage lady on the site who's opinions at times differ from mine but that helps the younger kids find their footing.
Rowan, you are who you are, not what you are called. From what I have read, and seen from your posts, is that you are a kind woman with a gentle heart. With or without the label "Wiccan" you will STILL be a kind woman with a gentle heart. I know we may have not be in agreement in most things, but I still feel glad that we have met.
I agree with what everyone else has said on here.
I don't belong to any type of religion and I'm perfectly happy where I am in the sense of things and my beliefs don't effect what I practice or study.
Be who you want to be, and continue doing what you feel the most comfortable with.
Don't let anyone tell you any different, if you're happy calling yourself a Wiccan, then do so.
If true Wiccan's are offended by it, then that's their problem and not yours.
Remember, religions are evolving all the time along with everything else in this world.
If people stick to the same rules of their religion, the religion would not evolve and new ones would not come into place.

Rowen, are truely a remarkable women who uses her insight, iam very much the same as u in the fact i practise the sabbat rites but i walk my own path and if i was to put a title i would say iam one with nature, and u call urself whatever feels right to u xx
You are in the same place as me as I am a solitary too! Be happy with who you are and don't let others make you feel like you can't call yourself Wiccan.
