Religions were formed with good intent, they all just kinda lost the plot along the way, if one studies up on all religions you will see big similarities which pop up, the deeper you go the more you will find, that means at some baselevel all religions share basic concepts, now unfortunately most religious teachings have been lost or corrupted over time, thus one needs to truly search to find answers. Religions, all of them, in my eyes were created as a way to remind the soul where it comes from, that there is something more out there in the universe than just the percievable reality we are presented with daily, to remind us of the universe, and all within it and how to work in flow with it instead of against it, if people could have just held onto that simplistic concept instead of overcomplicating it life as a whole would be in a mcuh better state.
Before religions there was purely understandings, understandings which could be used to get wherever it is you need to go, whether on physical or a soul level, these understandings are what were taken to make things such as modern magick, buddhistic teachings on meditation and soul release, pagan teachings on the god and goddess, the list goes on and on.
Good thing is all the understandings are still there, held within everyone if they only are willing to push deep enough to find it, the rest can be found by tearing apart any and all religions and only holding onto the truths, and with these understandings there isn't much one can't achieve, hence the saying which many khaotes live by - nothing is real, everything is permitted... we limit ourselves due to the misconceptions of the generations before us.
sorry for ranting.
when humankind first evolved and emerged from the caves it we had the gift of knowledge and invention the early shamans, priests, wisemen, scientists, call them what you will noticed the world around them simple at first sun moon night day then as knowlegde was gained the more complex the world around this they attributed to higher powers greater than them gods and goddesses as time went on more and more of the gods came it being structures and rules began to follow and religon was born in its many different forms and what came before animal instinct utopian ignorance the garden of eden if you will animals do not have religons temples rituals maybe the world would be better off if we didnt either
Any type of religion with a 'God' first began when the first humans wondered why they were alive, what that large yellow thing in the sky that you couldn't look at without hurting your eyes was, what that white circle in the night sky was and why it seemingly changed form, what happens when they die etc. and came up with an idea that some types of living creatures controled the world and came up with an image for them to visualize. The creation of religionin my opinion was the greatest, second to the rise of the rational paradime, thing the human race realized, because the general intention of it was to try to solve how the mysteries of the universe. Of course they did use their imaginations to try to solve it but that was because they had no other way.
No offense magicprince, but you are saying humans created the concepts of gods instead of gods creating the concepts of man...so the entire universe and all within it kinda just happened, and kinda just happened to randomly fall together in the right way to hold potential for life..
just one thing here taking a christian view point god created the universe in 6 days let there be light till the sixth created man and 7th rested surely i dont have to go into detail here but did he not create the angels and saints and was there not a war (not battle but war) in and for heaven in which lucifer and his followers were cast out (down) so my point is where we created during this war if so are we a product of it or after this war in this case what part did we play i offer this nature creates us we create gods the gods create nature all dependant on the other without nature we would not exist without us the gods would not exist without them nature would not exist
I Believe,no more than that I live my truth no matter what, and God creator of the universe made each and every one of us pure and simple. And he had a purpose of creation and it was to know himself completely and fully .By putting the the divine spark inside ourselves. this divine spark is a small piece of God,and this divine spark is like an acorn, it may be small but the entire oak tree exists inside the little acorn as its potential. A human soul has the potential to become as a god and become a co-creator of God in our lives thus truly knowing God. The purpose of religion
was to help us achieve God consciousness. But a few decided to corrupt the religions to remove all occult power and knowledge from the people so that the people would need the power they had. And society is designed to perpetrate the lies that keep each person from having the chance of achieving oneness by destroying all opposition and make people fear the very knowledge that would set them free convincing them that there they are infallible and only they hold keys to salvation thus creating division and separation among the entire human race causing us all to rely on them and to never question them. In modern religion at least this is the case of trying to achieve the state of perfect harmony which would destroy the Authorities hold on society because we wouldn't need them any more and then they would not be able to have the ability to make them money for they have gotten rich off religion and now they actually feel like their lives are meaningful because they have power over ohters.
yup, religion is something man made...before there was religion, I like to think there was just spirituality...ppl still believed in things, but it was organized...religion is mans way of trying to organize and make sense of the chaos in the world...
