I want to learn wicca

I am interested in learning wicca , what books best to start with ect,:)

Hi there, I’ve been practicing Wicca for a good many years now and one of the first questions that comes up is the one about where to start. My suggestion is always to start by doing some reading and studying to make certain that you understand what Wicca is really all about, and so that you can then decide whether this is truly the path that you want to follow. So with that in mind I thought I would offer some books and websites that are full of sound I information which can help you get started on your path.

I find that the book most recommended to people wanting to learn about wicca is Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham, it's a must have on the bookshelf of every wiccan in my opinon.

If your wanting an extremely condenced little preview of what wicca is, we believe in a goddess, a god, gender balance, reincarnation, karma, the wiccan rede i.e good ethics, magick, and much, much more. i haven't even begun to scratch the surface with that but theres a basic outline.

You can also find a lot of decent information on youtube. Also, don't hesitate to check around your local Chapters bookstore because I've been to 3 chapters other than my local on in my life and every single on of them have had a section on Wicca Witchcraft and Paganism, otherwise check the bookstore's catalog.

A good book that i like is Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft

You might also wish to read Living Wicca by Scott Cunningham. It's also a good book for those interested in the religion.
