Pagan Alphebet Story

I wrote this a few years ago to help my children. Thought I would share it since it is kind of a spell.


A is for the athame a knife beyond compare, B is for the broom we use to go sailing through the air, C is for the circle we cast upon the night and D is for the devil though we know he is not right.

E is for the earth may we hear her heart beat, F is for the father shinning high up in the sky, and G is for the goodness that they show us by and by.

H is for the hearth that warms the house and home, I is for the inkling that we know something's a foot, J is for the justice I know will be handled some day, and K is for the kindness that we share through out the day.

L is for the love that holds us to each other, M is for the merry that we make when we're together, N is for the night as we howl unto the moon, O is for the open circle that I share with all of you.

P is for the patience I must learn with each new day, Q is for the quest that my mind wants me to play, and R is for the rest I need after practicing all my skills.

S is for the Star that is so sacred unto us, T is for the time in which we pay homage at dusk, U is for the unicorn that dances with as we play, and V is for the venture that we will not take today.

W is for the wish I made while I told you of this tale, X is for the spot we marked together while we bale, Y is for the yesterday that we made today so well and Z is for zooming thoughts calmed by the ringing bell.
