Books of Shadow

what is the best way to make a book of shadows, or can you just by a plain book from a newsagents and write in it?

I made my Book of Shadows in a composition book. Some have used 3 ring binders. You can buy a blank journal as well. It is your book, and you can make it out of anything you wish.

ya, I just use blank journal books from the dollar store.
I like the ones that have a page-marker,
and that have an elastic to keep it closed,
also I have graphite-lead piece for writing.

I write magic-spell book on the first page,
and then I keep it as a captain's log,
of where I'm going, what I'm casting,
and where I am, what significant events occurred.

It's always great to also write out the results of the spell.

I typically write the date at the top,
and then whatever it is I like on the page,
sometimes I make drawings,
write down dreams.

I keep it in my pouch,
it's an ideal fit.

A notebook will suffice. Book of Shadow are collections of lessons and notes of whatever it is your studying. Along with that, you can include moon phases, diaries of your dreams with their inpretation, spells and many others.

This is your own individual creation.

You can make the book with any way you like. Its just your journal think of it like a "magick diary". You write in there your expiriences and things you dont want to forget.

i used looseleaf paper in a folder.
