I heard a cat afterward..

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong category but I really wasn't sure where to post this and I really would like to get some insight from someone more experienced in this sort of thing because this is all new to me.

So anyway I just recently performed my first magic ritual and everything went rather well, I certainly noticed some interesting things during the whole process but what absolutely baffles me is after I finished and was cleaning my alter and cleansing my tools I distinctly heard a loud disembodied cat meow in the room! Now I do have a pet cat and I immediately went to check on her when I heard the noise but she was clear on the other side of the house and fast asleep, she was well out of ear shot and there was no way I could have heard her if she had been making noise in her sleep, in fact she seemed kind of mad that I had woken her up. So what could the noise have been and what significance could it hold?

im not sure what it could have been. maybe it had something to do with the type of ritual you casted or it was just a stray you heard, or it could deal with magic in some way, a spirit animal maybe or a spirit guide.

Maybe you could have awoken something or even attracted a spirit during the ritual. I'll wiki it for you. ^_^

Well... I didnt get much from wikipedia but you've probably been haunted for a while just the spirit has'nt made itself known before.
This has happened to me before when I was 3 and Im now 13.

If i had to guess, It could have been your spirit animal.

Nothing is certain without a more elaborate analisis of the situation, but it could be an animal spirit that made itself present to your ritual. It doesn't necessarily have to be a familiar, but many spirits do like to play in energies from rituals. This could have been the personification of a cat.
