help with honesty???

is there such a spell to help a person be honest? or tell the truth? or do we have to just accept that certain people are going to lie to us?

You could probably influence them by working a spell that leaves them feeling guilty every time they lie, or something along those lines. But in truth any time you work magic that influences somebody else in such a fashion there can be consequences that are impossible to fully foresee.

Develop your own intuition to aid you in discerning the truth because in the long run, people lie when they're too scared to stare down the truth.
