Im Very Confused

Okay, if I'm correct on my history, then I do believe that Paganism was the largest religion way back when. And they murdered christians for being christian. SO, how did it end up leading to stuff like the Crusades, and Salem Witch Trials, and still today where pagans are persecuted for their beliefs... What happened to cause such a revolution of belief? Im curious to see what other people have to say about this.

Jesus's resurrection

I believe if I am correct and in the end this is just my opinion that in England in the Middle Ages Christians during that era wanted complete control and they wanted Pagans to believe what they believe and so they rewrote the bible and changed a few things A.K.A Jesus being born on Christmas and a few other things like that. When Christians couldn't get them to convert they started spreading lies around to the public and encouraging them to hand people in. So the pagans had to practice away from where other people could see them and a very large number of people were killed. There are other historical facts that corrolate, like in the middle ages all religious books except The Bible were burned and in my opinion that is why alot of things that were there at that time are missing from the pagan religion and please no one tell me I`m wrong or be rude I`m tired of people insulting what I believe or what other people believe.

Oh and I forgot to put that they made Witchcraft a sin and it wasn't before then.

Yeah but also in the middle ages, Pagans HAD complete control, and Christans had to practice in secret,so they adopted pagan rituals to hide their true motive, and almost every single on of their rites (communion for example) is based off a pagan ritual.

And so basically what you are saying is, the christians did whatever they possibly could, wether it be murder, or lying, to try and get rid of the Pagan belief.

Paganism isn't really a religion in itself, it is an umbrella term for a vast group of non-christian practices and belief systems :)
