biological clock

I have discovered it is fairly easy to go to bed at an undefined hour, and wake when you want. For the past week I have gone to bed somewhere between 10:30 and 2:30, and awoke often one minute before my desired time, 8am. Just wondering if anyone else can actively set their "clock".

sometimes yes, sometimes no, on average, in highschool i woke up 7:10 precisely every day, when i went to college 3 days i had to wake up by 4:30 and i'd wake up at 4:25 on those days no problem. right now, i'm waking up at 8, and i've been going to bed a different times.

I have been able to do this for years. It is basically telling your subconscious when to wake up. I never need a "real" alarm clock.

Right. If we don't really need an alarm clock, what else is expendable in this materialistic world?

What your talking about is your meridian cycle.

I have been able to do the same things as well but I usually wake up like thirty mins to an hour before the time I need to be up. Whats a meridian cycle?

Yes, it is all your subconscious. You do it so many times that it quickly becomes second nature.

I like to think of it as a form of auto-suggestion. I think to myself while lying down, "i think i'll wake up at seven tomorrow" and i usually wake up with ten or so minutes of seven.
