Ripple in The Romany Tide

I may have post this wrongly. For that i am Dreadfully Sorry. But if I post this correctly then I am glad of doing so. Anyways... I am a Pagan like most people on here. I do not practice much witchcraft. But more on bettering myself and getting more attune with myself.

But if I had to classify any of my Witchcraft practices it is Romanni. And that is what I am going to share....

As a Child I was taught a trick of one of the first lessons to divination. All you need is a stone and a bowl. This is for yes or no questions... Hold the stone and think of your question. Drop the stone count the ripples.

If the ripples come to an even number your answer is a yes. if it is odd number it is a no.

Have fun with this magickal experience. Great for begginers.

One problem though. Ripples aren't as easy to count as you would think. As they fade away, the get harder to notice. This makes it easy for you to trick yourself into getting the answer you want. Just like with using a pendulum.

True but that is why practice is great and people with good eyes or follow instict works. But for a better way maybe Mediation.

Sounds like a neat and reliable way to answer a question, but as it was said above, counting ripples is hard, you'd be better off with a pendulum or something else, but if you can't access any of the other methods, this is a sound technique to use

I thought this spell seemed familiar. Finally figured out it was taken from Earth Power by Scott Cunningham. The third chapter.

By the way, the original poster got it mixed up. Odd is Yes. Even is no.

@perrych in regards to a pendulum, if it's done correctly. in my coven, i have one friend who is amazing with pendulums and runes, she closes her eyes and i write down the answer so she's not watching it. she says it helps her concintrat when her eyes are closed.

This kind of is our divination forum. Horoscopes aren't always astral charts and readings. A horoscope is simply a prediction based off of divination.

I just wish people would delve more into the past and present aspects of divination.
