Hello all. I might still be grounded, so i'm not sure if i'm still active or not. But anywho... I wantd to add a ritual. I made it myself and I plan to do it tonight. So here it is...
New Moon/New Year Ritual:
This ritual is to be done during the rise of the new moon or in any New Year. Its purpose is to bless yourself for the following year and to put out your promises or resolutions to the Goddess and bind yourself to those promises. Also a good way to start a fresh and new year!
Items Needed:
- Two copies of your resolutions/promises
- One Long-Lasting White Candle
- Usual circle objects (Element Representations, Salt, etc.)
- Four candles representing the elements (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Any shade)
Instructions: Preparation:
On the third day before the New Moon or New Year, charge the white long-lasting candle with pure cleansing energy while chanting:
Pure cleansing energy that I invoke In this candle, extend like smoke
On the next day (or the second day before New Moon or New Year), charge the white long-lasting candle with pure healing energy while chanting:
Pure healing energy that I invoke In this candle, extend like smoke.
On the day before New Moon or New Year, charge the white long-lasting candle with pure personal energy while chanting:
Pure personal energy that I invoke In this candle, extend like smoke.
Do each process for at least twenty minutes or until it feels right, just before going to bed.
Ritual:
To begin with, cast your usual circle and purify with salt.
My own personal full circle process: With white chalk, draw a circle around your place of ritual and while doing so, sent personal energy into the chalk and through it. Now when you have drawn it, and made sure you have everything you need in the circle, purify the circle with salt. Then place a bowl of water in West, a rock or some sand/dirt in North, a fan or incense in East, and a candle in South. Next to them, place a candle for their corresponding elements (Red, Blue, Green/Brown, and Yellow) and light them, invoking the elements as you do so. Then light a white candle and place it in the middle of your circle, invoking the Goddess as you light it.
Now once your circle is casted, get your promises/resolutions and read them out loud to the Goddess and get one copy and burn it with the candle of the Goddess, repeating the following:
With these promises that I make I to them am bound and will keep to them each day
After that, you may end your circle, but if it is a group of people, do the same for every person and when done, move in a circle while everyone is chanting:
New Moon/Year starts and I am cleansed To have a new start and with it banish fear
Keep the other copy of your promises/resolutions where you can see them
After Ritual:
When alone, write the names of those you would love to bless and care about on a sheet of paper and light the white long-lasting candle while you word the following:
With the three energies now in sync, I release them to affect my new start.
Now word the following:
With my good will and wishes, I bless those who I now name, To have an new start, And be blessed all the same.
Now read the names out loud and burn it with the white candle, placing it in a heat-proof bowl and letting them burn to ashes. Now as for the candle, keep it lit until it has extinguished on its own.
