Does any of the Magic on this site work? Ive tried quite a few spells and so far i've gotten no where. Do i have to be born with some kind of magic energy or something, or am i just crazy and this site is just for fun? I just want to believe in it and have some kind of purpose or something... (lol hard to explain...I probably sound so stupid writing this S: )
Nope:) Not the most of the spells anyways. New age often fails, unless it has a basis in an older magic. There is still alot of VERY valubale information here, such as runes, stones/crystals, candle magic (once again, 90% of these spells [in my opinion] r useless), dreams, astral projection, and ocassionaly ther is good information on spirits. Ancient times are the bases of all we do in modern times. In the ancient world, you usualy didnt just through a spell together, people would haveto find VERY specific ingredients (sometimes words or sounds) to make a spell work. However, (once again in my opinion) most new age spells (ones inventent recently) can realese what is usualy termed "energy", wich can have an effect, depending on intent, mind state, ect. Id stick to finding your body and minds magic before atempting magic with objects, or manipulateing objects and others, until you have mastered the magic within you that (most likly) remais untaped. Once again, this is my opinion, and like you said, believeing is important, so your beliefs will always effect the outcome (even uncontious beliefs). Hope this is the respons you were hopeing for. Many work. Put more effort into your castings. You also have to truly believe the magick will work. There can be no doubt in your mind. Try meditating more before each spell. Remember to start small and work your way up and it always helps to specialize in certain forms of magick.
Hmmm... Id say learn to ground and center, try it out a few times, practice for a few days until you feel a difrence, than try burning a candle of a specific color, exaple-green for money, purple for wisdom or guidance, ect. Thats about as simple as it seems to get. Incense+prayer also works and is simple(but technicaly enhanced prayer, not casting). Also you could try herbal teas/chews/smokes, as it would help you to believe by seeing the powers things actualy have. Just mess around, see what works for you. Thats how it goes for most first generation practitioners... Oh and noobie advice, stay on the goodside:) revenge is best served ice cold.
If you're new to magick, you shouldn't be touching spells yet. I studied for two years before using ceremonial magick even though I had been using folk magick since I could remember. Knowledge really is power when it comes to magick.
The spell Merlin showed was so simple, I'm sure my little girl could do it. It wouldn't be very strong because she's five and a half years old, but she could perform it for sure, and it would have some effect. You have to learn the motions before you learn the mindfulness, because the motions should come naturally and you should only be thinking about the goal. My daughter already assists me with warding and blessing the house and performs her own protection chant every night before sleeping and any time she gets scared. Unless you're actually dealing with a malevolent spirit, nothing bad is going to happen if you don't do it 100% right. Practicing protection is a great way to become familiar with magick
