Hey SoM members, I realize their people on here from a number of different faith's and philosophies, and I Thought it'd be interesting to here what others believe. So post away brothers!
I'm a Catholic and subscribe to that view of life after death, that is, that after you die your life is judged by God and, if condemned due to a life of wickedness, hatred and sin you you must spend the rest of eternity burning in the fires of hell. If you were a good person, but died with sin on your soul you are sent to purgatory for a time, depending upon how much you have sinned, and are there purified and made "clean", and from here you then go to Heaven. If you have lived a pure and holy life, or die in a heroic fasion (such as giving your life for another, or martyrdom) you go straight to Heaven to spend eternity rejoicing with God, Jesus, the Saints, and all others who have gone before you living with love and peace.
I believe in an afterlife. No idea what it is, but its there. Maybe you just drift in the astral for a few thousand years then boom, reincarnated into a monkey. I dont see why it matters. If there is, enjoy eternity. If there isn't, you won't care. You don't exist.
Nature changes but the laws that govern her do not, they are a constant, and its perfectly alright to have a different view of the matter, I was just explaining my own to encourage others to do the same, No judging on this post.
I'm not so sure what to think right now,i want to beleve in reincarnation,and i do sort of beleve in the ancient pagan concept of the underworld,but i haven't really decided what i beleve beyond that.
I am of mixed religions involving Buddhism, Shintoism, and native american religions, and the rest is science based. I believe our spirit/soul is personalized energy, which then moves on to an afterlife, and that i where we live next. I do believe the afterlife is divided, maybe between good and bad, but not necessarily a heaven and hell. I do not believe in satan or the christian god (I do respect others beliefs though, my parents are Christian and my grandma was catholic). I have my deities undefined until I have met them. This said, i cannot get much more specific because I don't think the afterlife is something we can know about until we die. One thing I am set on though is that there is an afterlife and spirits.
I am Spiritual Satanist . I believe that after death we go to Hell and if we were bad we reincarnate if we were good we stay in Hell. And Hel is not a bad place for my Religion and Taioism..
