Voodoo doll problem

Hi,
This is my very first post.
I made a voodoo doll yesterday, and did a spell like one mentioned in SoM. I think it didn't work.
Can anyone kindly tell me the correct way to do it?

merry meet i don't know what you read or are trying to do but knowing what i do i'll try to help a doll or poppet is created in the targets likeness links of the individual are used perfume of theirs for its smell their hair as its hair their clothing made to dress the poppet etc so lets say like for like and like actions produce like pins can be used black to hex green to heal or incite love etc day used the same way saturday saturn to hex or bind you can stuff the poppet with healing herbs or poisonous herbs stick it in the freezer snow to cool them down in the dark wisper words into its ears to produce like for like and if you do know what ever you do to another can return to you to someday like for like for the waves carry everything out but they bring everything back like for like threefold blessings )O(
