When invoking a deity (in your case, Osiris), they will usually come to you if you offer a prayer or hymn to them. As most of my prayers are personal, I sense the presence of the gods I call on everytime I recite them. Try making a prayer to Osiris, inviting him to your home and such. It helps if you know enough of his story to incorporate in a prayer or hymn.
First, make sure if you want to "invoke" a deity or "evoke" them.
Invoking is the act of calling the spirit into you, to be present within you. However, evoking means asking the spirit to present him/herself where you are but outside your body.
To summon a deity (either invoke or evoke), you need to know what herbs, incense, prayers, candles, objects and etc are associated with them. Fist off, study about your deity, collect as much info as you can and then you will know how to perform the ritual.
i want invoke osiris. i do not know to create a prayer or spell.its there in Acquaintance with Darkness group. but since im not a member of group i cant access it. so anybody please get in that group and post that spell in mailbox
This is a late response, however we do not share the private spells of our coven with people whom have not joined our coven. They are marked as "coven members only" for a reason and none of our members will share those spells with others.
Also, invoking a deity is something one should take very very seriously. It's not something fun to do.
Ponni, with nothing on your profile we know nothing about you. But let me ask this:
Do you know the story of Osiris? Do you know who, or rather what, he was? Have you studied the Egyptian pantheon? How about Seth.Do you know about him?
To answer the post brysing said. Osiris was king of the gods for a long time. His brother set the god of evil, killed him. He became the god of the underworld. His son Horus beat set I beleve.
"Osiris was king of the gods for a long time. His brother set the god of evil, killed him. He became the god of the underworld. His son Horus beat set I beleve."
Wesir/Osiris was the Nisut-bity of the gods, but also Nisut over all of creation and was the Nisut over humanity (that's how things worked when he was Nisut mythologically speaking). His brother Set, who is not evil until the New Kingdom when he is equated with Ap-p and various foreign rulers, kills him. He is raised from the dead by Aset/Isis through her heka, but due to an interruption he isn't alive anymore either. Due to his status as a "blessed dead god" he is given reign over the Duat/underworld/netherworld and all the spirits of it (both good and bad). Heru-sa-Aset/Horus, son of Isis, does defeat Set (and takes control of his power), and by doing so order takes control over chaos.
There are quite a few stories about the death of Osiris. The most common story is that Set (or Seth; difficult to pronounce these ancient names in modern English!) butchered Osiris, and "spread his parts over the land". Isis found all the parts except one, the phallus. (Penis). She then used her "magic" to make a new phallus, and became pregnant by the dead Osiris, resulting in the birth of Horus.
Perhaps just "a story", but a quite common one.
