I know why... So when you cast a spell you are thinking "I want to prove this works" while you think you believe that it is 50/50. Your midset should be "I know this works, I'm not trying to prove a point, and I believe in myself". It is also good to focus for a period of time before casting, it calms and soothes you which can keep you positive. Also, some spells don't just happen right away, they happen over a course of time and slowly make changes. Other things to note are: is the spell rythemic? Are you using correct gems or candles? Are your thoughts possitive? And most important, are you taking away someones free will. You don't want to write/cast a spell that gets rid of someones free will, that is dark and can backfire or medle with things that don't need to be toyed with.
I hope this helps :)

Almost every spell I've performed has worked, each to their different extends. There are no spells that don't work (unless, you are going against the laws of physics). As I've explained before in other forums, spells manifest solemnly through the energy we project. If your spells are not working, then your projection isn't strong enough.
Queen, there is no spell that will make you fly. Magick is part of nature, it is ruled by nature, anything going against nature cannot be done by magick. Humans cannot fly, so no spell can or will ever change this. Learn about what magick is and how it works before casting. Magick is more spiritual, dealing with energy, and is more like prayer than what you saw in Charmed or whatever.
Ki meaning energy yes. There is different kinds of energy. There's the energy from electricity, or from a fire, there's energy inside our bodies and inside plants and animals, but there's energy kind of floating around the universe. The energy in magick is different from the energy in electricity. The energy inside our body/plants/animals is only enough for us to go about our day. Using this energy for a spell weakens us and can make us sick. The energy used in spells comes from the universe. Before casting a spell you charge your body with this energy, then let it pool in an object, charging the tool to be used in the spell. After casting you need to ground any extra energy. Similar to having too little, too much energy can make us sick. Think of a kid eating sugar, they get hyper and crash. Energy is the same way, too much or too little will cause us to react and eventually go to sleep to balance out our energy.
