I can't read anymore...

I just turned 30 and have been practicing cartomancy since maybe the age of 17? Not intensely at first but I got more serious after college. This year it's like they've become regular playing cards. I've smudged, I sleep with them, I keep a crystal with them and they won't give me a straight answer anymore. Has this happened to anyone else? What am I doing wrong all the sudden?

There might be energies that are "hurting"your ability to read the cards. I don't know though, I practice more of the elemental magic.

While regular cleansing and charging of your divination tools is a good idea, you should cleanse yourself and your home. Energy builds up over time so regular cleansings, groundings, and the like are a good idea. You might also consider meditating with the cards, or balancing your chakras to rule out any energy blockage.

I suggest you cleanse yourself and the places where you read, then charge them.

self dought is the key to failure, it would not mater if they whore regular playing cards, the power comes from within you just do what you do and don't say i hope this works say this is going to work, in other words chill it will work oat go all hipy on those problems

This happens to me when i ask the same question or something similar to it, i hit a wall with divination. I think it is caused by already having different answers to the situation, you got all you could from them at the moment, its time to use the information you already got to proceed with your goal.

Sometimes you just need a break from it. I would definitely consider focusing on yourself. You may be the block. Has something been bothering you? Has a tragedy occurred in your life? Did a long standing relationship fall apart?

In my tradition, this can cause soul damage but in psychology the symptoms line up with what is called dissociative disorder. That's a fancy word for a defense mechanism our mind does to protect itself in times of serious stress. It can and often is temporary as long as your emotions are nurtured and your mind is given the peace it needs. Regardless, of how you see it, some "me" time is in order.

There's been definitely some doubt on my end because of 2 life situations which I read but don't seem to be unfolding the way my cards initially said they would. Of course this happens, things seem like they won't happen, there's doubt, but then they do. I probably should take a break...hahahaa I got a sign as I was typing that that is the correct move. Thanks
