You cannot control the elements. You work with them.

It is imposible to create ice or fire, just by the snap of your fingers.

I suggest you research magic and the elements to get a better understanding of them both.

A certain individual can use his/her energy to manipulate the elements but its nothing like avatar.

Frozen was an amazing movie. Sadly, it was simply that - a movie. A work of fiction, loosely based on The Snow Queen. Real magick cannot go against nature and since you are not born with ice powers, you cannot get ice powers.

Meditating in icy ground, blend your energy with the nature's energy, and have faith on yourself. Though it sounded like a delusion, we'll never know until we try it out.

never hurts to try, but it will take time... a long time

and it may never work- but why not try? not something huge but like... maybe.. im not sure... any ideas on a realistic goal?

@ Sunshinerain, if anyone wishes to learn for themselves even though everyone answered their question [provided they won't get hurt] go for it. Sometimes you need to see to believe. However, to answer your [semi] question the reason you can't get ice powers, it's because real magick is completely different from the magic in movies. In movies you say some words, some sparks or a cloud of smoke appears, and suddenly someone's floating or invisible or a toad... With actual magick that real life pagans use in reality, it isn't a mystical thing to impress, it's a natural energy used to improve our lives. This energy, being natural, is ruled by nature, and therefore cannot contradict nature. So a simple rule of thumb is if it isn't naturally possible, the spell won't work. Ergo, no human is born with ice powers in reality, therefore magick cannot grant you ice powers.

However, there is types of magick calling for ice or snow, and there's always elemental work. Try to look for other solutions. It is sad when a dream ends, but you can always find a new one and work towards new goals.
