Afraid of backfire?

Hello I've only tried casting rain spell before (very few success overall), so I'm afraid to try other stuff. I want to try a wish spell but it says that my wish will never come true if it backfires...

Many people will tell you that rain spells are hokum, i put stock in them, but only when they are being spoken of by people with a good bit of experience under their belt. A simple chant, as your first working, will more than likely do you no good. Simple protections and cleanings may be a little more confidence building. Clearing up your energy can lead to better luck and more opportunity, as well as feeling better. A wish spell could work out for you, no one can stop you from jumping in with both feet.

Do you know how/why spells work? Have you 'mastered' charging energy, focusing energy, visualizing, grounding and other things considered 'the basics'? This could be why your spells don't seem to work. You could be casting non-working spells or you're not using enough energy. These are two common reasons for spells to fail. Don't worry about a spell backfiring, study a bit more and so long as you cast as needed not out of boredom or whatever, you'll be fine. [Also, if you believe in The Threefold Law or karma, if you do your best to cast 'good' spells you shouldn't see much negative energy coming your way as a result of a spell.]
