Improvising Spells

Do spells work if you "improvise" them somewhat? I'm new to this and wonder if anyone has done this and had any success at it.

If you were to improvise a spell, make it up as you go, your train of thought is more than likely going to scatter. Your energies put out for the spell may not go to where you want, and the spell will most likely fail.

Its so much better to have your activities planned out. This way, you wont forget anything, you'll be more focused, and your spell will have a better chance at success.

I agree with Allwyn, you can improvise them, I do it a lot, but it can fail or even become dangerous. Anyways, it can be done for little spells like to protect a room or an astral travels, specially if you are really used to them.

I did this and it worked great but mine was little. I just made a street light in my yard work after it stopped and it only stays on for 20min at a time. But if you had it planed out it would work great but that is what I think.

The others have pretty much answered the question, but I thought I'd toss my 2 cents worth into the mix :)

Usually smaller spells can be improvised - like charging a packet of tea for strength or wakefulness. Or ridding one's home of negative energy. But as soon as you get into the more complicated spells such as seven day spells and some forms of knot spells, it's best to write things down. Just because there is often a lot that needs to be remembered and writing it down lets you focus a little better.
