A question on energy paths

My teacher had once told me that there is only one opening in the body from which universal energy can enter and that is only the crown chakra. Could someone please help me by telling me how the crown chakra works?

To be honest I'm not sure but there are videos on YouTube about chakras, Akasha Wolf does very good videos on them.
