I don't know if they are aren't but we have kids as young as 10, I think he was the youngest I talked to. But as the adults guys we're suppose to set examples for the next generation of witches. So what do we want them to think that witches get high and act like idiots? There are alot of serious people on this site and those that are not serious need to leave because you not helping the witch repretation that we have just started rebuilding and you wasting time of those that could be learning. If only everybody had a little commonsence.
I both agree and disagree. Yes, i suppose we should be setting theexample, but getting high doesnt make you an idiot. How you act determines others thoughts on that matter.
Since herbs have been used for thousands of years to alter one's conscious and many of the "medician men" or "wise women" used them to "see", I don't think that keeping all drug talk out of the chat and forums are a good idea. This site is about sharing information and learning about all forms of magic. This is a large part of magical history. To remove the ability to talk about it would be removing infomation that could help others on their path. I am not saying you need to take "drugs" in order to do magic, nor am I saying you should. All I am saying is that some people have used natural things that can help open ones mind to reach a new level of consciousness.
Entheogens may not be for everyone, but used right can serve as a usefull tool at times, to create enough of a altered state of perception to allow one to be open to that what is always around you but usually just out of normal understanding or perception. It is a choice that everyone must make for themself, and it can either help make or break you, so if you know yourself to be easily controlled instead of being in control rather avoid.
The fact of the matter is, at the end of the day they're illegal and it doesnt matter if they supposedly help. Promoting them here could get someone arrested and put in jail.
Psilocybin and marijuana can serve to enhance one's Psychic ability or help one concentrate/meditate, but I wouldn't reccomend them. Also, the laws in Canada give a fine to possessors of marijuana, I'm not sure what the laws are for psilocybin. Those are shrooms, by the way.

Now, as far as I know, it's not illegal to talk about drugs. I mean, Canada does have free speech laws. But it IS illegal to ask where to buy drugs and it IS illegal to offer to sell drugs. Quite frankly if you're dumb enough to do either of those things over the internet you deserve your ban. And your subsequent trip to the party van.
While the TOS doesn't say "Don't talk about drugs", it's a slippery slope. It'd be better not to talk about it, I think, in the interests of the TOS.
To be honest, though, I don't see any problem with people discussing the uses of psychoactives as consciousness-expanders. They are used that way in lots of shamanistic religions, and others as well, for instance, Rastafarians make use of marijuana in their ceremonies, they don't just do it to get high. Heck, I don't even have a problem discussing recreational use of psychoactives as long as it's done intelligently. (I guess that rules out a lot of what goes on in chat, huh? LOL) This may be because I have experimented in the past and I like hearing other people's experiences for some weird hippie reason.
But anyway. The TOS says "Don't post illegal stuff". I guess if you're going to talk about drugs you do it at your own risk. Don't be surprised if you get hit with the banhammer.
