I think that people are stupid for still making gender/race/etc a problem. Seriously, stupid. Like, it's the 21st century, and gender is still an issue?
With that being said, though I am against doing such a thing, the owner of a coven may do as they wish. If they exclude such people, that is dumb, but it's their right.

With all practices, hobbies and groups you will find someone or some people who exclude others, if they choose to excludepeople because of their gender, race, opinions, beliefs, etc, then that is their problem and no one else's.
I have yet to meet anyone or take part in any group/coven that has anything against anyone for who they are or what they believe in, and in all honesty if there is a group who won't accept someone for these reasons, then they don't deserve them.
A true practitioner knows :the body is a transient vessel for spirit. Anyone who discriminates does not truely believe that. So I pity their ignorance. Besides, in Shamanistic paths of ancient times, transgender, bi and gay individuals were believed to have special talent with magick as their minds followed a twofold path
Personally, this sounds...dumb. I mean, even if there are indeed gender specific covens, a transexual person is a woman in the body of a man and vise versa. With that in mind, adding a male to female transexual to a women only coven is only right. Well, of course, it is the council and the high priest/priestess that make the rules, but if you are in a coven and do not work solo, you should be careful not to make rules that are stupid and bigoted such as this. But again, with rules so close-minded as this, why would you want to join a coven like that in the first place? I do not know if this is personal, but if it is, completely disregard that coven and find another one. Do you think that these people can really impart important knowledge to you? Ha. Have someone impart them knowledge on transexuality and acceptance for a start.
Hypocrites these days...
The point of what I would consider an all female coven is for women and fem identifying people who want to pray to female spirits, goddesses, praise women and uplift them. So yes I do think they should be allowed.
Then again with that said, being a woman does not mean you are in favor of women. Being a man does not mean you are against women. Examples being: Athena often sides with men and punishes women. Ares is the father of the amazons and holds the title of the entertainer of women. Who holds womens best interests in higher reguard?
