Stealing Energy

Is it possible for one to take energy from another (for me specifically, is it possible for an unknowing person [me] to steal magic energy from another who has not issued permission, and in turn, also have no idea [my sibling] )

Hmmm... May I ask why it is possible? And how I may be able to avoid such things from happening in the future (presume that I am near someone at all times for your next answer)

Why is it possible? Not sure I can give you an answer to that. I believe it has to do with having a lack of personal energy stores. In order to offset this, I suggest grounding and centering on a regular basis. Perhaps shielding yourself so that you do not pull energy from others.

Grounding and centering? Please explain if you can, maybe point me to another thread, also I agree as to the why part, I can't really say I am that experienced when it comes to magic, and I'd love to expand my abilities as much aspossible, so training my energy to me more cumulative would be nice.

The trouble with most shielding techniques is that they are hollow shields, which aren't useful. There are of course shielding methods that are more practical than others, or that are not hollow shields as I had put it.

It is also possible for your energy to be poisonous, and actually cause adverse effects to the vampire, which would range from mental turmoil like anxiety to physical illness like nausea, to circumstantial, like bad luck, even to the person being obsessed with you, or obeying you.

Some defend themselves by redirecting tendrils, or whatever is used to vampirize, and others reverse the flow and do the vamping themselves. With all the different techniques for vampirising others, there would have to be enough ways to counter those.

Zelotar and Nordstar, thank you both for you answers, I feel that I can attempt another exorcism on my house without side affects now. The last time I did so, there was no interference, so I may safely assume that there are no dark entities with even darker intent around. A friend had suggested that we may have been connected either magically or spiritually, so that is also up there, and hopefully this thread will become useful for others who encounter similar affects.
