Where do I begin

I do a lot of meditating, but it has been many years since I have done any casting and I am wondering if I should start by casting a circle, a protection spell, or restore energy. Can someone assist me please.

you should do a protection spell before every spell just to make sure there is no backfire

I recommend doing weather spells; they are basic and easy to do ecspeacially when done in a magick circle.
