Amox from what i can tell is not actually a demon, but is an Enochian Angel. A minor angel skilled for finding metals and precious stones. This then begins the rabbit hole that goes into the next subject in a bit.
So the enochian entities being called angels is a bit up for debate. They were called angels by John Dee who seems to have developed the Enochian language - which is a derivative of Hebrew language and named after Enoch, who supposedly spoke this language to communicate with God. Dee was a bit obsessed with trying to communicate with angels.
Dee who worked with Edward Kelley, an alchemist and self proclaimed medium, on communicating with the angels. Kelley was a con man who was well known for his fraudulent acts, but still manged to get in good with Queen Elizabeth I.
Dee failed to communicate with the angels himself, but through seances together he supposedly succeeded with Kelley's help - the latter being the one to actually communicate. Kelley proclaimed that the angels were actually demons bent on destroying the world; however, Dee was still insistent on their being angels.
Kelley may or may not have had any impact on the discovery of the enochian language and corresponding symbols.
Now to Amon. Amon the seventh marquis, as depicted by the various releases, edits, and translations of the Goetia books, commands a legion of some 40 hellish legions. Amon appears as a wolf with a sepentine tail or as a man with either a raven head or a raven head with dog teeth. He knows the past and future. He can cause feuds or reconciliation between friends. The keys do not give more information than this that i can see.
Now, speaking of the keys, in Aleister Crowley's published release it's explains as a note, in the explanation of the ceremonial contents, that the results of what the magician experiences is an event akin to an illusion. These events prone for leading to brain damage up to and including death. It is then attested to that the Goetia spirits are actually parts of the mind. Each piece that makes up the ceremony helps to better synchronize and control the part of the brain associated with the particular ceremony relative the entity being called upon or summoned. And thus the illusion of the magician's working.
If we are to take the words of Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers and Aleister Crowley then we can take a couple steps back amd now look at the Goetia as a whole particularly the entities depicted - both angels and demons. They would then all actually be aspects or sections of the mind that represent every detail that makes humanity just that. But I'm also sure that time has also added onto the individual details of each entity. Along with the afore expressed perspective of the individual makimg contact becoming an influence that defines the entity. Or in the case of Kelley something likely made up to begin with as a con that became a foundation for a belief system that has lasted centuries.
Take what you will and take it with a grain of salt if it pleases you. Spiritual entities or simple conjuration of the mind. It's up to you.
