I wouldn't say that I have a favorite stone, but I do work with quartz and Selenite quite a bit. I use quartz pillars as magical batteries and barriers for spell and ritual work, since they do a wonderful job of storing energy, absorbing it, neutralizing it, etc. I useSelenite for healing purposes.It's a wonderful director of energy, and I've had some lovely success with it during my Crystal healing seasons.

Can't say that I have a favorite either, but I have always been in awe of the green tourmaline that I have. It was given as a gift from a local trader in Mozambique during my time living there in the 1990s. Despite its unique healing properties it is a beautiful thing to possess; at least to me, with much sentimental value.

I have two favorites. Moldovite and Nuumite. Both of which I find extremely useful in my practice. I carry them always with me.

Here is a small piece of advice for working with stones. Don't expect immediate gratification and don't overload yourself with a huge collection. Work with them slowly and singularly. These have been around for many more years that we have a life span. Take the time to learn how they affect things. Some are powerful and will react quickly. Others are subtle and their effects are cumulative.

My work with stones was successful when I learned a very important lesson. We do not use the stones within our practice. We work with the stones within our practice. We do not possess them nor do we own them. They are entities that require a deep level of respect and a level of required patience. Ask humbly for their assistance and you will be surprised tha they respond.

Alexandrite

My favorite is amethyst because it is incredibly versitile, relatively common and therefore easy to find, and I adore the color.

Moldavite and nuumite are excellent!!

i love saffordite, brandberg and vera cruz varieties of quartz.

also lemurian seed variety of quartz, especially in cathedral formation or laser wand formations.

Kingman turquiose and morion are also ones worth adding! prehnite, iona stone.

I am a huge fan of Moldovite as well. Other favorites of mine are blue kyanite, herkimer diamonds (a form of quartz), and snowflake obsidian.
